Richard Allen DeBoard, 59, of Madison passed away on Monday, May 4, 2009, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was a retired CSX locomotive engineer with over 25 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesville and was a 22-year resident of Madison, coming from Whitesville.
Richard was a 1967 graduate of Sherman High School, attended several technical schools and was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. Additionally, he was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arnett DeBoard; and brother, Mark Edwin DeBoard.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Chapman DeBoard; mother, Lorena DeBoard Daily; son, Mark Jason DeBoard of Austin, Texas; and sisters, Barbara June Donohue of Seth, Mischa Reveal of Charleston and Amy Brown of Sylvester.
