About Me | I live in San Diego County, travel for my company, and do some volunteer work. Part of my volunteer work is being a CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in the Juvenile Court system in San Diego County. The parent organization is called Voices for Children. My position with my company is National Specifications Manager. I travel the U.S. working with, and training our Independent Sales Representatives who sell our product in various states. While working for my company, I have been fortunate enough to travel to Singapore, Malaysia, Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Central America. During 2018, my colleague and I traveled almost full time around the U.S. visiting a large wholesale distributor with 600 locations. According to my "Year in Review Statement" from American Airlines I circumnavigated the globe over two times. Yes even the seats in First Class get uncomfortable too. In February of 2018, I also logged 1 Million Miles with American Airlines since I have been an American Airlines Advantage Miles member. I feel I am living my dreams as I love the coastal climate here in Oceanside, California. I live about three miles from the ocean, and EVERYTHING gets rust on it. "3/7/2019 UPDATE": I now have two grandsons 6 and 2. On some weekends, the boys stay with me and we go to the San Diego Zoo, and (San Diego Safari Park) Wild Animal Park or the beach. My son Ryan and his wife are now the parents and I get to be with my grandsons on the weekends. My Daughter-in-law's sister lives in Spokane and they are trying to transfer through Ryan's job to relocate in Eastern Washington. I asked Ryan if he bumped his head lately. I went on to say that his two boys and I will miss them when they move. He didn't see the humor in that. I get to Oregon frequently to visit Mom. I enjoy seeing Brad Barnett and Bob Nisbet. My Dad passed away September 11, 2009. My Grandmother (Nanny) just passed away October 20, 2010 and I still miss them both. I try to snow ski as I have time, of course living in Southern California, the climate window for snow skiing here is very short. The closest skiing is at Big Bear Mountain and there are about 5 million people who live close enough to ski so it can be crowded. Through my work I have been able to ski in Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. I have snow skied at Mammoth Mountain in the Northern California Sierras and it is enormous, and amazing. I look forwar...(read more) |
