Dudley-Charlton Education Foundation Annual Appeal

The Dudley-Charlton Education Foundation, Inc. is excited to announce that its second annual appeal is underway. Now is a great time to give! Country Bank for Savings, Savers Bank, Southbridge Savings Bank, and the Webster Five Foundation have joined the foundation's board of directors to match up to $12,000 donated between now and January 31, 2011.

The foundation is a volunteer, non-profit organization that works to strengthen community support and to fund programs that encourage innovation and enrichment in the Dudley-Charlton school district. Thanks to generous contributions from the community this year, the foundation funded nearly $20,000 of creative programming for hundreds of students. Emerging entrepreneurs have established and will operate a restaurant. Budding mathematicians and scientists are developing sophisticated hypotheses and experiments. A mentoring program will introduce students to the opportunities that college can provide. Students interacted "hands on" with each of the fifty states. Others staged, filmed, and performed in a professional production with Broadway actors.
