About Me	I retired from teaching and worked as a climate change educator at The Ohio State University's Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center (BPCRC). I was fortunate to travel to Antarctica in 2003 to videotape and interview the scientists working in the McMurdo Dry Valleys. I retired from teaching in 2005 and then continued as the Education Outreach Specialist for BPCRC until 2012. I love to sew and hope to do more quilting when I have more time. I'm helping care for my mother-in-law, who suffers vascular dementia, has had some "minor" strokes, and has significant mobility issues. She's in a care facility now, but Dave and I both visit her daily for a few hours (each). So there's quite a bit of planning and coordination involved. Dave's daughter has two boys (ages 3 and 1) and my son has twin girls (age 12). The girls live in Columbus OH, so I drive 6.5 hours one way as often as is practical to visit them.
