| About Me | I am happily married to my beautiful wife Cheryl (Wilson) and we have 3 children and 7 grandchildren that we love dearly. I am a born-again, Bible-believing Christian and I love teaching the Word of God to anyone who will listen. I have learned that sound Bible doctrine certainly does divide and is not always readily accepted, but there are those that want to learn and know more. It is quite evident from the scriptures that expository preaching is the Biblical method of preaching and teaching, and that Biblical Discipleship is the key to growth for any New Testament Bible Believing Church. Without it, growth will be very minimal. I love missions and missionaries. We currently support several from our Church in Kansas City-- Graceway (Formerly Kansas City Baptist Temple)--The Ken Greenwell Family, The Doug Pearson Family , and the David Loveland Family. The Lord directed us to a church in Winneconne , Wisconsin where we are serving with Bible Baptist Church under friend and Pastor, Robert Hatch. I love railroading and have been employed with railroads on and off since 1980. I began with the Chicago & Northwestern System in 1980 out of Kansas City, Mo. as a brakeman/switchman. I worked during layoffs as a track laborer in Iowa (Between Des Moines, and Kansas City) in 1983-84. Then I worked for the Shawnee Mission Public Schools Maintenance Dept. from 1984 to 1989 and was a purchasing agent for Roller Equipment Mfg. Co. in Grandview, Missouri until 1990. I hired out as a brakeman/switchman/locomotive hostler with the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad (The Cotton Belt) in Kansas City, Kansas July of 1990. I then took a paid severance from the Cotton Belt in 1992 and moved to Wisconsin to begin working for the Wisconsin Central System. I promoted from conductor to engineer on August 22, 1994, and have been running trains ever since. I now work for the Canadian National since they took over the Wisconsin Central in 2000. I love music, especially Jazz and Big Band Swing. I am involved with the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society in Clarinda, Iowa and take pictures for their news letter every year at the Glenn Miller Festival held in Clarinda. I also play trombone in the GMBS Big Band at the festival as well. I video a number of the groups that perform at the Festival and post them on my YouTube page, "kcbigbandjazz".
