Army, 3 Years

Joined the Army in November of 1965. I went to Aviation school, and graduated in June of 1966. I was sent immediately to Vietnam. I fl ew with the 1st Signal Brigade. We did alot of utilitarion flying and some ELINT - Electronic Intelligence - OK, we were spying!!! Ease-dropping of Charlie radio transmissions. I got my ass shot off (figuritively - not actually). I volunteered for a second tour with the same outfit. Won a few medals. Saw classmate Dave Olney in Vietnam. he was flying Mohawks for the Army. I flew in Otters and Beavers and a little in Huey helicopters. Met a lot of great people over there. Lost too many, also. After two tours in Vietnam, the Amry will send you where you want to go, if possible. So I went to Germany for awhile. I flew CH-34s in Germany - what an piece of XXXXX they were. When I got out of the Army, I used the Veterans Administration to get another college degree. I then went off to conqueor the world!!!
