| About Me | Shawnee Mission East grad 1961 Married to Steve Bishop, divorced 1n 1976. We had 2 children, Gail & Brian. I have two grandchildren, a boy and a girl, and now i'm a great grandmother, I spent 20ys in the Army as a nurse) was a LTC when I retired. Was 46 when I joined, and i stayed for 20ys.Deported to Germany X3 and X1 to Iraq. I came out as LGBTQ in 1976. I have been w/my partner 49yrs, and married to her 12. I have a BSN in nursing, a BA in Business Administration, and a Master of Science in Management. Critical Care nurse Manager in Critical Care, Cath lab nurse, Educator for many years, Specialty in Cardiology, Member of the VFW,and spin off called "The Cooties." Marshall in the Eastern Star. Volunteer w/River of Refuge. It's for low income families, and the best part is that it's headquarters is in the Drs Building next to Parklane Medical Center. I worked there 6yrs, and then HCA closed them down. River of Refuge has bought the building,and will become more living space for families. The condition of the hospital is heart breaking! I do a Center School District group called Lead To Read. I have a student who reads to me and I help them read. The students are between 1st and 3rd grade. I've been doing this for 10yrs.
