Andrew J. Hughes, 42, of Wapakoneta, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 due to an auto accident in rural Mercer County. He was born November 21, 1972 in Springfield, Ohio to Calvin and Georgeanne (Hall) Hughes. His father, Calvin preceded him in death. His mother survives him in Springfield.

Andrew was married on July 25, 2009 to Melessia A. Holman and she survives him. Other survivors also include his children: Andrew J. Hughes, Chloe Hughes, Lynan Holman, Lillian Hughes and his siblings: Lewis (Lee Ann) Hughes of Lima and Nancy Smith of Springfield.

Mr. Hughes had been employed as a carpenter for Guth Construction.

Funeral services will begin 5:00 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME with Rev. David J. Burkhart officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Seaman, Ohio.

Family and friends may call Monday, from Noon until 2 and 3-5 p.m. in the funeral home.
