Shannon Lucile Martin Science Scholarship

If you knew my sister, Shannon Martin, you knew her kindness, curiosity and determination to make a difference in the world through scientific research. According to Shannon, it was Shawnee Heights physics teacher Laura Hirsch who really ignited her passion to pursue a career in science.

In Shannon’s memory, our family has awarded the Shannon Lucile Martin Science Scholarship to outstanding physics students attending Shawnee Heights High School since 2014. Last year, we provided three students with awards.
