Doug passed in his sleep quietly (thank God) of complications from epilepsy. He was in great shape for someone his age and worked out the night before he passed. He should have paid more attention his condition and he would have lived as long and as healthy as his surviving father aged 96.
I miss him every minute of every day and always will. He was taken too soon and so suddenly.
Sweet dreams, Angels watch ya always. I miss you everyday terribly......

I grew up with Doug, our birthdays are six weeks apart, and we lived two blocks apart. Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, rock music, everything (except basketball- could never compete with him). He was a great guy, sorry to see he passed, I will miss him. My best to Nancy and all who loved him.

So sorry to hear the news of his passing. Doug was one of my role models at shadle park.I was a couple of years behind him and he always took the time to talk with me and encourage me. Prayers go out to his family.
