Nancy Lela Paine was my friend from age 8. We enjoyed growing up in Spokane, attending Shadle as its first full four year graduating class. Nancy was kind, smart and enjoyed many extracurricular activities including the bagpipe band. Nancy lived in Spokane her entire life. She was survived by her son, Paul Whitford, and her husband Tom Darcy at the time of her passing.
