MEACHAM, THOMAS DONALD, born July 23, 1953, in Olathe, Kansas, passed peacefully into eternal life the morning of Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at the age of 53. He was preceded in death by his mother Maxine Anderson Meacham. He is survived by his father Donald Meacham and his wife Ann of Birmingham and brother Jonathan Meacham and wife Tammy of Homewood. He was a graduate of Shades Valley High School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was retired from the City of Birmingham in the division of Urban Forestry and during his employment Tom and his crews were in charge of maintaining the beauty of Birmingham Green and Highland Avenue. He was an accomplished artist in various media. His greatest solace was the tranquility of the natural environment surrounding his home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
