Herbert Harvill, 59, of Homewood, AL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Jan Tate Harvill and his 2 children that he loved and adored, Tate Harvill and Dr. Elizabeth Harvill (fiancé Shelton Patterson), his brother Billy Harvill (Sharon), the Harvill and Rainey Families and the Tate Family of Meridianville AL. He is predeceased by his parents Myatt and Joan Rainey Harvill and brother, Bobby. Everyone who knew Herbert knew his love for life and spending time with his beloved family and many friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Ridout’s Valley Chapel (Homewood, AL)
A celebration of his life will be held Friday January 3 2014 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (Homewood, AL), officiated by REV. MSGR. Martin Muller.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Research Hospital and The Birmingham Zoo.
