Debra Ann Darche,DVM, age 66, of Odenville, Alabama, passed away September 15, 2020. She was born in Tampa, Florida on March 17, 1954.
Debbie graduated from Auburn University and received a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Debbie was a practicing veterinarian for over 40 years. In her early career she worked as a veterinarian at several racetracks in Florida, New Jersey and Birmingham, Alabama. For the past 20 years she owned and operated Leeds Pet Clinic in Leeds, Alabama.
She was a member of Cahaba Valley Kennel Club, Black Warrior Retriever Club of Alabama, the Labrador Retriever Club of Atlanta, and the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association.
Debbie’s kennel, Sundance Labrador Retrievers, produced multiple hunt test titles and conformation champions. Her passion was training and breeding Labradors Retrievers for hunting and obedience. She also loved gardening.
She is survived by her Aunt, Harriet St. Clair Watson and her cousin, Brenda St. Clair Elting. A memorial will be held at a later date.
In leu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seeing Eye in Morristown, New Jersey or a charity of your choice.
