Obituary for Robert W. (Bobby) Dyck
On November 14,2023, the angels visited our beloved Bobby and returned with him to his heavenly home to rest peacefully in the loving arms of God the Father.

Visitation will be held from 10a.m. to 11a.m. followed by a life celebration service at the Bibb Veach Funeral Home & Crematory in Bowling Green, Missouri on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Ya'll are encouraged to wear University of Alabama colors (in case you are NOT in the know... that would be crimson and white), or your favorite college team colors. Following the life celebration there will be a bonfire in memory of Bobby at his and Shawn's residence.

Bobby was born July 8, 1954, in Fargo, North Dakota. He was the son of Eldon Warren (E.W.) and Joan Francis (Martin) Dyck. Bobby attended Shades Valley High School, Birmingham, Alabama and graduated University of Montevallo, Montevallo, Alabama. Bobby and Shawn Grothaus joined in holy matrimony August 23, 1986.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Shawn; sisters Penny (Dyck) Lyell (Mack- deceased) and Patty (Dyck) Soule (Gary) both of Nashville, Tennessee. Sister-in-law, Robie Orf (Mel) of Bowling Green. Niece Jenny (Lyell) Moore (Matt); great nephews Sage and Aidan Moore of Nashville, Tennessee. Nephew Gary Soule-Wood (Melissa) of Omaha, Nebraska. Great nephews Trevor (Mary), Logan (Emma) and Brody Soule-Wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law Marge and Joe Grothaus; niece, Amy (Lyell) Osteen.

Bobby had southern charm with a big heart and a beautiful soul. He was a one-of-a-kind husband, brother, uncle and friend. God Bless you Bobby!!!!! You will be sorely missed by your family, friends and all who knew you.

Or as Bobby would say, "I'm dead, monkey died, shows over ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
