About Me	Married William Haines; one child, Erik, born in 1962. Divorced. Married Eugene Smyth. Moved to Hawaii in 1981. Husband passed away in 1984. Completed Master's degree. After graduation, had a regular job in an office and several music jobs: singing for Japanese weddings, directing 2 handbell choirs and cantor for a Catholic church. In 1995 I quit the office job and started singing for Japanese weddings full time. When we kept having problems with ministers that didn't show up, I got my license. I still direct the Handbell Choir at Kawaiaha'o Church in Honolulu and have been singing in the Hawaii Opera Theatre Chorus since 1986. My son, Erik is married to a local girl here and is Education Director for Hawaii Opera Theatre and has created several award-winning educational programs for our youth.
