About Me	Worked as a legal secretary after graduation, continued ballet lessons,married 1956, had 3 sons, widowed in 1965, worked in clerical dept. for Elmont School district until 1967 when married again. Had a daughter and another son by 1973.and lived in Islip N.Y. until 1979 when we returned to Elmont and I started working for the Elmont School district once more. I was promoted to Secretary to the Principal of the Covert Avenue School, Mrs. Urbas, and then to assistant to the Business Administer in the Elmont District Administration Offices until I retired in 1991 and moved to Las Vegas where I worked as assistant to the business administrator for the EPA at the University of Las Vegas. Before moving to LV our daughter Deirdre A. Kimmel and our son Brett A. Kimmel also Sewanhaka High School graduates went on to Hofstra University for degrees in Pschology and business. As the 12 grandchildren started coming along I was always being asked about our family heritage and finally two years ago I decided to put that information into a book for my family. I have just had said book published. It is called "I'll See You In My Dreams" by Doreen G. Kimmel and follows the ife and love of my parents who lived in Elmont for the last 33 years of their lives.
