Events | Nathan McKinley Widmer, of Knoxville passed away on June 22, 2022 at the age of 47. Nate loved the outdoors. While growing up in Sevierville, he participated in organized teams including soccer, swimming and basketball. As an adult, he enjoyed boating, swimming, soccer, basketball and golf. He could also be found watching sports especially football and basketball. Most of all, Nate loved spending time with his precious daughter of whom he was so proud. Nate was preceded in death by grandparents, Clyde and Louise McMahan; grandfather, Ed Widmer; and cousins, Jedediah and Jacqueline Reagan. He is survived and will be dearly missed by mother, Debbie Atchley and step-father Rick; father, Randy Widmer; daughter, McKinley Hope Widmer; uncles, Carroll (Michelle) McMahan, Gary McMahan, Dale (Kimberly) Widmer, Keith (Melinda) Widmer; aunts, Janice (Rudy) McKinley, Nina Reagan, Terry (Frank) Montgomery, Gail (Jim) Ruffin, Dana (Ed) Thompson; his cousins with whom he shared a special bond with: Jasmine (Scott) Hardin, Nancy (Nick) Cherry, Rob (Melissa) Montgomery, Russ Montgomery (Duncan Olsen), Daniel McMahan, Michael McMahan; grandparents, Richard and Carol Atchley, Eileen Widmer; special friend, Brandy Lindsey Cook; and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at Rose Funeral and Cremation – Mann, 6200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville on Sunday, June 26th from 3:00-4:00pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow, eulogy by Carroll McMahan.
