About Me	I currently live in San Diego, CA. I have been married for 15 years. I have a wonderful son, who is nine years old. I was raised through childhood in San Diego with my brother and sister. After high school, I joined the US Army and traveled the world. I have been to Germany twice, Korea, Somalia, and the Persian Gulf. While assigned in the United States, I spent time in Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Texas. I departed the military after 13 years and moved to Texas for a job with a German semiconductor company. After about two years, I transferred to Arizona, where I spent the next five years. My company went through many RIF (Reduction in Force) layoffs where I was caught in the ninth round. I decided to relocate to San Diego, CA, where I found a job with a transportation toll company. I work in a small division that supports the government contracts. My work history consists of working for the US Army for 13 years as an Avionic Communications Equipment Repairer. After the military, I joined AST Elektronik, USA, where I worked as a Field Service Engineer for seven years. I worked at multiple sites including Motorola, Intel, Seagate, AMD, and Dallas Semiconductor. I presently work as a Field Service Engineer for an Electronic Toll Collection company in their government contracts division. I work at multiple border crossing locations along the northern and southern borders, and have worked abroad in Japan and Canada in support of Homeland Security. We service the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) programs the government is using to expedite trusted travelers crossing the borders. I am pursuing a degree mainly for my own satisfaction, but would like to use it, if I decide to change career paths. I believe my work experience will outweigh an AA degree, until I get a little experience in the information technology field and complete my BS degree. I personally enjoy working with computers and believe I would enjoy a career in this field. I completed my AA degree with Axia College, University of Phoenix in February ’09 and immediately started with my BS program in IT with emphasis in Security.
