| About Me | Lived in Williams Lake and ran a day care for a couple of years then moved to North Vancouver and worked at S.F.U. day cares for a few more years. Changed careers and worked in advertising for a couple of years for McKim Advertising. Had 2 lovely daughters and stayed home to raise them while selling a line of children's clothing, called Bravo. Went back to work when they were 6 and 4 for a trust company/bank downtown. Divorced my 1st husband, but have remained very friendly with him. Worked more years and remarried when my daughters were 13 and 15. Rick's boys were the same age. Teenaged years were a very busy blur of sports activities, boys hockey and baseball and football and the girls played softball and field hockey. When they left for university (Emily went to U.Vic, Jessica took 5 years at BCIT Business Marketing) we sold the rancher in Edgemont Village and moved to Nanaimo 5 years ago. I work at Origin at Longwod, a premiere retirement community, where I am a Concierge/Leasing rep. I love it, some days are like Faulty Towers but the residents are wonderful grannies and grandads. I lost both my parents this year so I do appreciate older adults. Rick and I like to golf and garden and visit nice restaurants in Nanaimo. Now we have no kids at home I want to get a nice yellow English Lab. I love walking to keep in shape and love giving dinner parties. Catering my own wedding for 110 people was fun but crazy 11 years ago. Now I simply do dinner parties for about 10 - 14 no problem. Where did the years go? I was busy living them I guess. I am so happy my older sister, Susan has moved back to Victoria and bought a small home in Oak Bay. She has divorced her husband and brought her son to Canada, Pierre is 15. My wonderful brother Brent Wetmore lives here in Nanaimo, close to me. My husband and Brent are great buds having both played hockey together years ago to Labatts.
