About Me	"I'm from Maryland/DC. We're not from the South, nor do we have an accent. We don't think camo is the ultimate fashion statement, nor do we use "yonder/yonways" as a directional reference. We use "you guys", whether your female or male nor is it demeaning. We're also not New England, we're the Mid Atlantic. It's soda, not pop. It's a sub, not a hoagie. It's the beach, not the shore; and we drink water, not "wooder". It's pizza, not pie. We're not hicks nor hillbillies. It is DC, not Washington. We know what bad traffic really looks like, how to use traffic circle & one way streets, and how to pump our own gas. Terp basketball is life, FEAR THE TURTLE! Gary Williams will always be a god. We scream "Oh!" in the national anthem, no matter where we are. We have a fine appreciation of music, crabs and beer. Crabs and football...Thats what Maryland does! We don't think Maryland/DC is the best area, we just know it is." Remembering that, even though people might ignore or forget Maryland as some random East Coast state, it’s one of the best places someone can grow up. It has the range of landscapes, the unique wildlife, and the perfect city-country balance that makes it echo what is great about America as a country. And while you might have left it to follow your path elsewhere, the foundation you got from Maryland is something you’ll never lose.
