I don't know how to put into words what so many girls in my class meant to me. When I was 18, my life was in front of me. The impact that so many classmates had on who and what I would become was not evident. Betty Moore, Connie Baker, Paulette Mayfield, Joyce Huey, and so many others I could name. Good people that I was blessed to have known and who helped to shape my life along with a mother that was second to none. Judith Ann Walden: I had a crush on her that I will carry with me to the grave. The last ten years of her life we corresponded, and I came to realize that she, along with so many others of our class have suffered, and yet because of our resilience, we put one foot in front of the other and went on to raise our families and continued to deal with whatever life threw at us. Now as the years pass, I continue to lose those that I love. And when my time comes, I can only hope that those that are left will feel the same about me. God bless the class of 1965.
