Joshua Oldham Entered the United States Army in 2001. He was assigned to 1 Brigade 327 INF REG 101st ABN Div (AASLT) as an Infantryman. He deployed with them for OEF to Iraq and was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge for performing under fire numerous times in the duration of 12months, the Aviation Badge for 40+ hours combat flight time as a door gunner on a UH-60 Blackhawk, also awarded an Air Medal for his excellent performance as a door gunner in wartime as well as recieving an Army Commedation Medal for his excellent performance in wartime with Charlie Company 2-327 INF REG on patrols through Iraq. He then deployed to OIF 4 in 2005-2006 with HHC 1BCT 101 ABN DIV (AASLT) as the Brigade Commander's Private Security Officer and Led his Squad on over 250 mounted and dismounted patrols throughout the Kirkuk Province. He Deployed with HHC 1BCT 101 ABN DIV (AASLT) again in OIF 7 in 2007-2008 as the Brigade's Deputy Commander's Private Security Officer, Maintaining a squad of 18 soldiers performing tasks of a Platoon Sergeant and Platoon Leader. He headed over 250 dismounted patrols in Tikrit and surrounding areas engaging in talks with the local populous gaining intel that led to several Air Assault Raids on known enemy locations, as well as the planning and executions of these raids. For this he was awarded one of the Army's top awards of the Bronze Star. He is currently in 1BCT 101 ABN DIV (AASLT) Ft. Campbell KY as a Staff Sergeant in His 8th year of Active Duty Service.
