BCAG needs your support on Saturday 5/19

Hi Everyone,
My name is Anthony. I am working with Brick City Alumni Group (BCAG), a Newark based non-profit organization. BCAG along with the Student Leadership Team at Science High School, is having its second district wide college panel on Saturday May 19th from 9 am to 3 pm at Science Park High School. We would like for our alumni to be speakers at our event.

As a speaker, we would like you to talk to high school students who were once in your shoes about the experience of going to college, and discuss the topics ranging from navigating the college admissions process, adjusting to different environments, and succeeding academically in college. I know serveral people have mentioned about wanting to try to set up a skype type of system for our alumni who are out of state and I am currently working to make that happen. So even if you are out of state and still want to drop by via web, I will try to make that happen.

To sweeten the deal there will be free food and a raffle! To find out some more information or even donate if you cant attend physically the website is: http://brickcityalumni.org/
Your support really means a lot to the success of this event and if you are interested in being a speaker, please sign up here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Apv4btjwMWYWdDZZS2JWN1BSRnE0X3I2eEhrT211bEE#gid=0

College Panel

Hello,

Brick City Alumni Group along with the SLC at Science Park High will host its first district wide college panel in Newark, NJ that will feature successful graduates from Newark high schools who have gone on to their college careers. As a Science High Alum, we would love to have you come to our event and share your unfiltered opinion about the college experience. This student run event will provide high school seniors from all over Newark with the opportunity to meet with alumni who are like them and learn about the ins and outs of college.

Several of you guys have signed up. We're looking for even more to make this as big as we would like it to be.

The event will be on Saturday, May 21st from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Science Park High School. We're asking that you come in to be part of a college panel of alumni from your school. Your
panel will have a brief presentation about life on your campus,
followed by a Q & A session. If you'd like to stay for the full period
of time, you're welcome to but if you're only able to stay in during
one session, we welcome that as well.

This is planned to be a very big event and the first of this magnitude
in the Newark district. Media, parents, students, and civic leaders will be in attendance. There will be food provided in addition to prize giveaways. Please join us as we make history for the City and expand on a tradition that was started by our very own, Branden Rippey.

Below is the link to the form that must be filled out in order to be
officially included in your school's panel.
