My brother, John Sedlack, class of 1971 has died after a long illess

OBITUARY
John C. Sedlack, 60, formerly residing in San Diego, CA, died on October 19, 2013, at Sharp Coronado Long Term Care facility where he has spent many years suffering with Primary Progressive MS. He was born on January 12, 1953 on Long Island, in NY, and was the son of Dolores M Sedlack and the late Ralph W. Sedlack.
He later moved to California shortly after graduating from Virginia Tech College with a degree in Forestry & Environmental Conservation. John graduated with honors from Sayville High School in 1971.
John loved nature and exploring. He was a loving family man. He was very active in his church as a soloist and a youth leader. John was on the board of directors of the Salvation Army for many years. He managed a grocery store, then went on to work on a nuclear Navy submarine. After that he was hired by SDGE (San Diego Gas & Electric) and worked there for 20 years, lastly as an account executive, until the disease took hold.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Dore', and 3 daughters, Lisa, Katrina and Darlene. He is also survived by his sisters, Charlanne Brown and her husband, Hal, of Delaware, Donna Trast and her husband, Steven of NY, Mary Sedlack of Delaware, Ann Falanga and her husband, Tony, of NY, and his brothers, Paul Sedlack and his wife, Gayle, of NY, Ralph Sedlack and his Wife, Sue, of NY. His mother Dolores Sedlack resides on Long Island, NY. He has one grandson, Cayden, and John has left behind many nieces and nephews.

There will be two Memorial services for John, one in San Diego on November 8 2013 and another in New York, November 16, for his family and friends on the East Coast.
