Richard unfortunately passed from covid after being hospitalized for 3 weeks and ventilated he was in perfect health before that and was completely unexpected from the time he tested positive to his untimely death was only 3 weeks. He leaves behind 3 sons, one daughter and three grandsons and his wife of over 35 years Lisa.

In 2018 Richard and Lisa decided to leave New York and move to Florida where they settled in Mount Dora because it reminded them of the strip on Fire Island as there was water on both sides in Central Florida within a few minutes in all directions. They purchased a single-family home that overlooked the preserve which Richard was an avid lover of fishing and nature. Although he loved Long Island & Suffolk County especially the Great South Bay the winters and all the other negative aspects that are occurring in our beloved New York made the decision for him.
