Army, 20+ Years
Enlisted as private May 1949; attended Officer Candidate School 1951, graduated as 2nd Lieutenant, Infantry June 1951. Served in Korean War 1952-53-Platoon Leader, Germany 1956-59, Korea again 1961-62, England 1964-66, Vietnam 1966-67as Battalion Commander, Headquarters Dept of Army 1968-70 & 1973-76, OJCS Pentagon 1970-73, Iran 1976-77, Fort Lee, Virginia 1977-82 where I retired as Colonel after 33 years and 3 months on active duty.
