Leon was born in Santa Monica. He graduated from SAMOHI in1958. In 1959, he joined the U.S. Army for a 3 year tour which was served mostly in Germany. His working career was in aerospace. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Darlyne and her two adult children. They lived in the Santa Monica bay area until his retirement from Boeing Aircraft.
Moving to the 1000 Oaks area, Leon found golf was there waiting for him. He played it with many of his high school friends and various golf leagues in the area.
His friends and family have fond memories of this kind and gentle man.
