Scranton - Sherri Lucile Dean, 58, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at her home near Scranton, Kansas. She was born on January 20, 1966, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Clarence and Esther (Rowe) Hollar.

Sherri had lived in Wamego for many years before moving to rural Scranton 10 years ago.
Sherri had worked as a Para-Educator for USD 320 Wamego and USD 329 Alma-Wabaunsee.
On May 11, 1990, Sherri was united in marriage to Dale Dean in Topeka.
Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Esther.
Sherri is survived by her husband, Dale of 34 years; by her four sons, Christopher (Jenene) Dean of Fair Grove, Missouri, Ricky (Amber) Barngrover of Manhattan, Brian (Dana) Barngrover of Nacogdoches, Texas and Kevin (Alisha) Dean of Alma; her two brothers, Rex Hollar of Carbondale and Gary Hollar of Scranton; her two sisters in life, Tanji Cassett and Lisa Hartley, both of Wamego; and her eight grandchildren, Elijah, Chloe, Ashley, Gavin, Brayden, Elizabeth, Jacob and Savannah.
Funeral services for Sherri will be at 11:00am on Friday, October 18 at the Carbondale Community UCC. Burial will be in the Carbondale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Thursday at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Memorial contributions for Sherri may be made to the Sherri Dean Memorial Fund (Scholarships for USD 320 Wamego or USD 329 Alma), sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
