Was a 2nd team All-America selection in 1952 and a 2 time All Missouri Valley Conference tackle; was a 22nd pick in the 1954 NFL by the Los Angeles Rams. Served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army. Worked as a coach and administrator for the Pasadena ISD for 36 years at South Houston Intermediate. Had a passion for Houston Cougar football, Astros baseball, dominoes, traveling and dancing.
