Favorite School Memory	I can't really think of a great memory of high school. For me, like many, high school is a study of conformity and popularity. Things were somewhat more difficult for me because I was gay. I was ridiculed by many of the "macho" seniors. Without going into the details, I eventually ended up at the University of Minnesota Graduate School and received my Ph.D. I taught for one year at Wayne State University (Detroit) and for one year at Suffolk University (Boston) and then ended up at Baruch College/City University of New York where I spent the rest of my academic career. I received tenure there and, finally, the rank of Full Professor after numerous publications in academic journals. I spent my last nine years as Chairperson of a Department of Marketing with 27 full-time faculty and about 50+ adjuncts. Academic politics are very nasty, and I was very happy to retire. My partner of 20 years and I retired to Asheville, NC, given that Asheville is a very liberal and gay friendly enclave in the mountains (Great Smoky/Blue Ridge) in Western North Carolina.
