The class of 1969 experienced history on a regular basis: The Summer of Love, the Tet Offensive, Nixon's rise to power, The Beatles' creative peak... very few spans of time can claim to have shaped American culture as much as the late 60's, and you & your Santa Cruz High School classmates experienced it together.

Thank you so much to all of our 1969 classmates who came to celebrate our 50th class reunion. What a fun weekend of connections. It felt very inclusive. Lots of opportunities to mingle and move around in both the Sunroom and Harvey West. And each offered something a little different. A nice variety of food at both venues. The icing on the cake was when the SCHS Band came marching into the park! What a nostalgic treat and awesome show they put on for us. We can thank Doug Ley for that idea, as well as coordinating the SCHS tour on Saturday morning.
A huge shout out to Millou Cox Rose, Bruce Zenner, Virginia Bentley and Chris Dybdahl for doing the footwork. They were the core of this endeavor. Also, to others like Barry Braverman, Pam Arnsberger, Arne (Carol) Croce, Glynnes Hutchins and Roxanne DuBois Cull and anyone else who contributed. And, Doug Ley who worked behind the scenes or remotely. A big thank you to Kent Webber for officiating the memorial to honor the classmates we lost throughout the years. It was very special.
Millou, and thank YOU for offering your beautiful home for Friday night’s gathering.
We hope to make this happen again in FIVE years to celebrate our 55th! Stay tuned.
