| About Me | I have one daughter, Kristina Bennett; I retired from The County of Santa Cruz's Department of Child Support after having worked there for 34 yrs./prior to that I worked for 6 yrs. at The County of Santa Cruz as Nursing Supervisor Secretary at the old County Hospital. In between my 1st County job and the one I had for 34 yrs., I stayed home 7 yrs. to raise my daughter. I love being single,uninvolved,& want to keep it that way! Married twice - married first in 1969,his age 21/married 11 yrs.; married my second husband, in 1997, his age also 21/married 6 yrs.. Yes, there was a 27 yr. difference in our ages in my 2nd marriage & I've determined 21 yr. old men are just not cut out to be married. With both of my ex-husbands, though, my current & continued friendship with them is 1,000% better than when we were spouses. Since retiring, I had my right hip replaced, which seems to have wiped away 10 yrs. leaving me feel 57 instead of 67 !! I enjoy driving/traveling Calif,especially the.coast area towns. I enjoy KTOM radio - COUNTRY STATION, as well as oldies stations. If I were to just now be graduating high school, I believe I would want to be employed in the forensic business. I enjoy reading biographies and autobiographies, as well as true crime books, especially those where forensics give justice. I enjoy attending music concerts of band tributes or the real thing. It is important for me to keep in touch with my friends, doing such things as going to movies, lunch, festivals, travel either day trips or longer. When on trips I love to find botanic gardens, river rides, trams, zoos, mansion tours especially in the holiday months; I do NOT like sports; I do NOT like camping (call me a wimp, but I like electricity and running water/flushing toilets.) I enjoy finding antiques and collectible shops to browse; flea markets; cat shows, as well as "cat cafes". I do not fly - my choice -none of the flights I was on in my earlier yrs.had any problems, but when I landed in the airport on my last flight (Hawaii to LAX), all I can say is I had an overwhelming sensation come over me that this should be the last time I get on a plane. I listen to my intuition. I do hope to one day go on an ocean cruise; also a train trip from the West Coast to the East Coast. I also hope to visit all of the National Parks in the U.S. Some of my favorite places in Calif. to be are Santa Barbara, Cambria and Cayucos in San Luis Obispo County, Sonoma and Napa vicinities,Lake Tahoe, and I am planning on visiting more areas and places of interest in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Diego Co. that I have not yet covered.
