About Me	Had a great career in research and teaching at OSU; fulfilled lifelong dream of working with chimpanzees, and was able to accomplish pioneering work in chimpanzee cognition, teaching my group of 11 chimps to count, read English words,understand complex concepts like scale models, etc. Six of my original group are still alive and retired to a sanctuary outside Shreveport LA that was started by a former student, and is funded partially by the government and part by private donations. I was also able travel all over the world to attend primate research meetings, and present our findings.
