Michael D. Trevino
Class of 1988
Army, 19 Years
First Sergeant Trevino enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 1988 and completed Basic Training additional training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Shortly after he was assigned to the 82nd Engineer Battalion, 7th Engineer Brigade, Bamberg, Germany, serving as a Command Track driver of a M113A2 Armored Personnel Carrier from October 1988 to June 1991. He deployed with 3rd Battalion, 2 Armored Calvary Regiment, for Operation Desert Shield/Storm. During his time in Germany, in the Cold War era, he served on the on various borders and was there when the wall came down. He reclassifying March 1992, and was reassigned to 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Partaking in numrous trips throughout the Pacific Rim and supported operations in Haiti. In November 1998, he was reassigned to the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C where he served in a myriad of leadership positions. In June 2002 he moved to 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, within the 82nd Airborne Division, deploying in Support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was assigned to Special Operations Command South, Homestead Air Reserve Base, Homestead, Fla. where he experienced travels throughout South America.
He is now assigned as the First Sergeant of the Boston Military Entrance Processing Station, in Boston, Massachusetts. He earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii.
His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Badge, Master Parachutist Badge.
