| About Me | After graduating I went to US Davis for a year, but due to family issues, I moved to San Leandro and started work in the insurance industry. Finished college, going at nights, at Chabot Jr. College in Hayward. I advanced over my 20+ years in the insurance industry, earning my CPCU designation. A promotion to claims manager for Royal Insurance included a move from California to Arizona in 1987. I had gotten married in 1984. In 1995 we adopted our son. After becoming a Mom I started a new area of employment as the school "nurse" at my son's elementary school. My husband unfortunately developed substance abuse issues which led to a divorce after 31years of marriage. I stayed working at the school for 18 years, until May 2020 when I retired.
