| About Me | "Serenity isn't freedom from the storm, it's peace within the storm." Or you can try Frank Costanza's approach and shout: "SERENITY NOW!" ~ that was my Seinfeld quote for you, Greg ;) I was widowed in March 2009 when my husband Greg died suddenly from a brain hemorrhage caused by undiagnosed acute mylogeneous leukemia (AML). He was only 43 and we didn't know he was so sick. There were no goodbyes. But, it was merciful he didn't know, as I can't imagine the agony he would have gone through knowing he wouldn't be able to watch his beautiful little girl, Sarah grow up. I have been through the valley of grief and have emerged seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. My perspective and outlook on the purpose of life has been transformed with the death of my husband, and although he is missed terribly, I am grateful for God's grace and divine providence in our lives. I've run two full marathons with Team in Training in Greg's memory and have raised almost $15,000 these past 3 years for LLS. I am committed to making a difference while I'm here and being the best parent to our precious daughter that I can be.
