Drew was my best friend at a very special time of our lives, from 5th grade at Vieja Valley through junior high school days. Our paths diverged as cars & substances increasingly consumed Drew’s attention & life. In about 1995, Drew died under drug-driven circumstances. As the primary theme of my comments at his memorial, and inspired by a song I happened upon the night before his memorial, Drew will always be “mi amigo para siempre”.
