| About Me | After college and a few part time jobs including working for the Hayward Area Recreation Department, I was hired by Fremont PD in 1974, and attended the Oakland Police Academy for 6 long months. Aside from Patrol, I was assigned to several different units of the department and was a Detective, Hostage Negotiator and Post Trauma Stress Team member. I climbed through the ranks, first as a Sergeant and then as a Lieutenant, before retiring as a Captain in October 2005. I had a challenging but rewarding, & successful 31 year career and happy to have survived it all.
