| About Me | I was a mid term graduate. Some of my classmates graduated in 1953. Because of my credits I got out in jan 1954 and went into the Navy. My buddies Bill & Johnny got out in June and joined later. Without any planning, My best buddie Dave Alley and I were put in the same company in boot camp. What a great unplanned circumstance. After boot camp we went our seperate ways. After Engineman school ,I was stationed aboard a submarine tender, and worked on the ww2 submarines. While working on a sub, I was injured. After 6 months in the hosp. I returned to the ship and spent the rest of my tour working in an office, running the R-2 division. After Navy worked installing Formica sink tops. Misc. jobs untill my brother and I formed a company called "Capritaurus" in 1969. We became the largest mfg. of "Lap Dulcimers" in the USA. Over a period of 20 years we produced and sold over 20,000 dulcimers. The business was sold in 1989 to a company in Winsted Conn. The name of the dulcimer line is "Folk Roots" I went back to antique restoration and have been doing it ever since. Right now I am in the process of setting up jigs and fixtures to mfg. "ukulele's".
