| About Me | I received my AA degree from Spoon River College in Canton, IL. I moved to the Quad Cities (Davenport, IA was the city I lived in). I began working in a large childcare center while I completed my BA degree in Elementary Education. After graduating with my BA degree, I married the love of my life, Todd Hartwig. I subbed in the city school districts for about a year. After having our first daughter, in 1997, I owned and operated my own home child care center. Once our son was born, in 2000, we were fortunate enough to be able to move back to Salem where I worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher at Little Lamb Preschool, three mornings a week.
