What you need to know about the plans thus far: 1) Hold the weekend of October 5, 2012 (and tell your significant other/ kids as well if you want them to tag along). 2) We’ll plan to do a few low-key events through the weekend: at least one that is adults-only (Saturday evening, Oct 6) and we’re aiming for some family-friendly fun as well (maybe earlier in the day on Saturday or Sunday). 3) Low key = no professional organizers = budget-friendly. This also means that we need people to help out. We’re all adults and know that events don’t happen by magic, especially on $0 budget. 4) October 5, 2012 is Homecoming for Salem High, according to the SHS football coach, so if you like football, plan your schedule (or travel) to hit the Friday evening game. Maybe tailgate beforehand? 5) This is also the final weekend of the Neptune Festival, so book a hotel room now if you need one (if we happen to get room blocks and find a better rate, you can maybe cancel your original booking).
