Army, 8 Years
Drafted, left Lisbon on a bus for Ft Mead Md, and sworn in as buck private. Sent to Indiantown Gap Pa in the mountains, served 6 months then sent to Ft Bliss Texas 6 months trained with anti-Aircraft weapons, quad 50/ 40mm/90mm. Attended OCS Fort Reilly Kansas, Commissioned, 2nd Lt. Served Ft Lee Va, Camp Atterbury, Indiana, Fort Rucker, 47th Infantry Division, Alabama, promoted to 1st Lt, promoted to Captain, honorably discharged received two letters of commendation.
