Air Force, 4 Years
I served at one base during my entire term, that base was in Merced California. The base Castle AFB. I think that this was the best thing I could have done coming out of High School, I do not regret it at all.
I was assigned to the 93rd SPS (Security Police Sq,) My main duty was to patrol B-52's, KC-139's and F-104's later becoming F-61's at a Strategic Command Base. I also patrolled a Weapons Storage Area. I not only patrolled but I also controlled access to the aircraft mention above.

Joined the Air Force to see the world and of course, after graduating from the Air Force Academy, I was stationed at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. I did get to travel though as the Project Manager for the B2 Guided Munition Initiative.

Army, 6 Years
Computer Operator. Served 1974-78 in Worms, Germany. Served 2 years at U.S. Army Computer Systems Cmd at Ft. Belvoir, VA. While at Ft. Belvoir, was selected as the Army's computer representative at TASVAL, wargames exercise in Calif. Twice during my 6 years, was recruited (FBI interviews) by the White House (top 5%) to work for the White House Communications Agency.

Our Salem High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
