I remember one of his favorite albums was the classic Genesis "A Trick of the Tail". Written and recorded in Autumn of 1975 and released in early 1976, this was the first studio recording with Phil Collins as the new lead singer...replacing Peter Gabriel who had left the band in Spring,1975. Ed seemed socially reserved, but if you engaged him in a discussion about unique musical artists or albums he could definitely hold his own.
