About Daryl R. "Butch" Miller, 56, a life long Rush County resident, chose to end his long battle with mental illness on June 22, 2015.

He was born April 27, 1959 in Rushville to Max & Marlene (Kirk) Miller. Butch was a Rushville Consolidated High School, Class of 1977 graduate.

Butch enjoyed farming & also owned & operated DB Miller Trucking and Miller's Custom Bailing. He raised cattle & swine loved animals and the outdoors. Butch was a member of the Homer Christian Union Church, the Rush County Tractor Pullers & had been a member of the Rushville Eagles Lodge.

Butch had a contagious laugh & smile. He had a very big heart, and always went out of his way to help others when needed. He was quick with a joke & enjoyed making others laugh. Butch loved to spend weekends camping & 4-wheeling with his friends & family. He liked to cook and experiment with recipes, and especially to share the food he made with others . Butch was a beloved son, father, brother, grandpa and friend to many.

He is survived by his parents, Max & Marlene Miller of Rushville, a daughter, Carly Holland & husband Brett of Milroy, sons, Clint Miller of Muncie & Andrew Miller of Rushville, a sister, Denise Hoeing & husband Ken of Rushville, grandson, Ezra Holland, a nephew, Chris Hoeing of Rushville & a niece, Kim Lawson & husband Ben of Thorntown.

Services will be held at 1 PM Friday, June 26, 2015 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, where friends are welcome to visit from 11 AM until time of service that same day. Rev's Roger Abraham & Dena Vittorio will preside.

Burial will be in the Hurst Cemetery.

The family requests that friends reach out to their local legislator (iga.in.gov/legislative/2014/legislators) and request that they bring their attention to & funding for mental healthcare initiatives.
