About	Brenda Sue Hokey, 57 of Connersville, passed away on Dec. 22, 2014 at her residence. Born Jan. 10, 1957 in Rushville, she is the daughter of the late William Hokey and Geneva Jaggers Maple. Brenda was a loving mother who worked as a home health aide. She was an animal lover who was known for taking care of stray animals. She is survived by her son, David Hokey and his partner Scott Concilla of Rockville, Maryland; a brother, Robert Hokey and his wife Melinda of Indianapolis; a sister Deborah Matney of Augusta, Georgia; and two nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a step sister, Shelly Maple Sorrell; an uncle, Mike Hackensmith; and a niece, Brandi Matney. In keeping with Brenda's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Urban Winkler Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Brenda to Help the Animals in Richmond or to The Animal Rescue in Richmond.
