Darlene Law, 56, of Lebanon, died Sept. 6, 2013 at Morristown Manor.
Born June 1, 1957 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Richard G. and Mabel L. (Peterson) Law, both deceased.
She had lived in the Shelby County area since 1999 and previously lived in Indianapolis. She worked for Pearson Education for 15 years, retiring in 2007. She was a 1976 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and earned a B.A. in History from Indiana University. She was a longtime member of Zion United Church of Christ. Darlene loved animals, reading, collecting and gardening.
Survivors include a brother, Dale Law of Arlington; and her four beloved cats.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 in Zion Cemetery in Shelby County with Rev. Carol Wiley officiating.
Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home of Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements.
