David Wayne Whitfield, 56, a life long Rushville resident, passed away at 4:10 AM Tuesday, September 6 in Rushville.
He was born on July 4, 1955 in Rushville, the son of Charles William & Marjorie Chrisman Whitfield.
He worked for many years at Tom Green Tire until 2003 and had worked at Pioneer Seed Corn since then. David was a E2 in the US Army. He was a member of the Rushville American Legion Post #150 and the Rushville Eagles Lodge.
David is survived by his daughters, Amy Whitfield of Gwynneville and Heather Whitfield of Arlington, a sister, June & husband Roy Daniels of Rushville, a grandson, Mason Whitfield, 4 nieces and 5 nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Whitfield in 2010.
