About	Betty L. (Rankin) Barnes, 84, of Rushville, died March 5, 2010. Born Jan. 6, 1926 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Otis D. and Daisy B. (Elder) Rankin. She married Francis L Barnes Jan. 26, 1945; he preceded her in death Jan. 21, 1996. Mrs. Barnes was in the class of 1944 at Rushville High School. She was an avid Bingo player for over 65 years and a devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include daughter, Daisy Ann (James) Armstrong of Rushville; sons, Francis D. (Judy) Barnes of Berwyn, Ill., Jimmy A. (Sue) Barnes of Rushville, Fred J. Barnes and J. Albert Barnes, both of Rushville; brother, Bobby Lee (Maxine) Rankin of Alabama; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Jim Rankin; and sister, Margaret Butts. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Warren Engel officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
